Cookies n Cream Cupcakes

Yield: 12 cupcakes


  • Cupcakes
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • Eggs as required by box instructions
  • Vegetable oil as required by box instructions
  • Milk instead of water as required by box instructions
  • 1/2 cup Oreo baking crumbs

  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 4 cups icing sugar
  • 2-4 tbsp whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup Oreo baking crumbs
  • 12 Oreos
  • 1 Hershey's cookies n cream chocolate bar

  1. Cupcake
  2. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a cupcake pan with liners.
  3. Make cake mix according to the box instructions. After mixed, stir in Oreo crumbs.
  4. Fill cupcake liners about 2/3 full with the batter.
  5. Bake about 18 minutes or until done.
  6. Allow to cool completely before frosting.

  7. Beat butter with an electric hand mixer or in a stand mixer for 5 minutes minimum.
  8. Beat in vanilla and salt.
  9. Add in icing sugar, one cup at a time, beating in between. If frosting gets too thick you can add a tablespoon of milk at a time until smooth.
  10. Beat in Oreo crumbs.
  11. Frost cupcakes as desired.
  12. Top cupcakes with an Oreo and a piece of the cookies n cream chocolate.
