Nutella Buttercream

Yield: Frosts 12 cupcakes


  • 1 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 4 cups icing sugar
  • 2-4 tbsp milk
  • 3/4 cup Nutella

  1. Beat butter with an electric hand mixer or stand mixer for 5 minutes minimum.
  2. Mix in vanilla and salt.
  3. Add in icing sugar 1 cup at a time. If the buttercream starts to get thick add in 1 tbsp of milk at a time until smooth.
  4. Add Nutella and beat for 5 minutes.
